Welcome to Troop 877!
We are a troop with a Christian focus led by the youth leadership team and supported by adult volunteer leaders. We are inclusive to all and welcome all faiths in our troop, we encourage our scouts to grow stronger in their own faith by following all the tenets of the scout oath and law. We are reverent through the Christian faith.
Each year our Scouts plan an outdoor program focused on fun and adventure including activities such as kayaking, horseback riding, backpacking and rock climbing. The scouting experience is enhanced through a combination of monthly troop campouts, summer camp and high adventure camps. While spending time outdoors at campouts, our scouts continuously improve and sharpen their camping skills while also working on character development, leadership skills, citizenship and team-building skills.
We encourage scouts to provide service to others to round out the focus of the BSA program as they make progress on their individual journey. It is a pleasure to see the impact the program has on the lives of our Scouts as they learn to live out the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.
We meet on Monday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at MacArthur Blvd Baptist Church (MBBC) located at 8001 Mustang Dr, Irving, TX. We invite you to visit and learn more about us.
